Memories
1)The mental faculty of retaining and recalling past experience
2)The act or an instance of remembering; recollection
3)All that a person can remember / Something remembered
4)On computer terms -- a) A unit of a computer that preserves data for retrieval
b) Capacity for storing information
So be it for the humans or the computer, its something to do with the past. That is, some information which is already known or completed.
We always call it memories only when its good. Phrases used “recall the wonderful memories”, “memories to be cherished” . However, memories are not just about the good ones.
It includes all our past....
So the good and bad in it is decided by you!
The bad ones can be called as an experience. A lesson!
We all face tough times in our life, and will want to forget them!
I.e. the memories which we do not want to carry along with us.
How wonderful it would be if we could “shift+delete” them... and get it out of the trash only!
Imagine a human system where, when memory gets out of control or overloaded, we can delete them and refresh it to continue the normal process. Wow!
Sounds great and easy!
So do we need a separate system to get this done... ?
Can't we just do this our self with what we have... either taught or imbibed!
Yes there's a saying – Forgive and Forget!
Its such a simple thing which can easily manage our memory as far this thought is concerned.
To erase our “bad memories”, all we need to go is forgive the person/reason for it and to forget !
Forgetting is not hard at all... it's an excuse we always give...
when we don't call our near and dear ones, when we forget their birthday, when we miss to call back or meet someone waiting for us, when we forget to buy the grocery mommy asked us to
and the list goes on....
Use the same here and I'm sure it would help us a lot!
There's a movie on the same lines, on erasing memory...
wow it seemed to the character undergoing that, in the movie, but when he wanted to prove his love, all he wanted was just the memory of the love he had for her!
Wonderful isn't it!!!
That's the beauty of memory... so just relish and cherish your memories...
For only you can feel it ...

Special people
Let me describe him first which would give an idea as to why I chose this title!
A man who must be in his 30s, height of a dwarf with some ailments. He wasn't able to stand straight. Weak legs and damaged back. My description could be a little hard, but that's how he was.
My God, the first impression I got on seeing him, what confidence and perseverance he must be having. Working in an IT field, a job which is not just highly paid but also the most wanted. The crowd here is massive and he dint really care about it. Walked in with a pride and helped himself get onto the chair. I was surprised!
You don't even have to interact with achievers to gain motivation, on just seeing such “special people” with special qualities, you can feel there's a lot more in our life to achieve.
The positive energy that they bring in is more. Their simple presence helps us!
Its not that they should be some kind of a statue to give their presence but a motivation in disguise!
We must realize how blessed we are to have everything fine(not just physically) but still we complain on our small failures and rejections.
I had visited this hospital once where people had come to get some certificate from the doctor on their ailment. I can still feel them in my eyes, their difficultly only to commute. Still determined to get their life going!
Now, all this shows how blessed we are. And lets stop complaining on the little things around and learn from the people around us!
Live and let live!

Time flies off!
I still feel as if I’m just out of college and looks like its more than 3 years past that!
Time just flies off!
A new experience always brings in a change and something to learn…
I couldn’t ask for more now, as I have a new start and every new beginning brings in a new challenge and we just gotta get going….
Hope things go well as ever for its just not destiny, we choose our path to get there!

When strangers speak!
This is indeed something which has always been at the back of my mind!
How do strangers speak! …. Ok!
Let me phrase it this way… “How does one initiate a topic when they don’t know the other person?”
Yes… I understand we all know the definition of strangers and the above phrase was not to extrapolate that but to bring in an easier approach!
There was this incident which caught my eyes while traveling, 2 women (not sure if it happens only with woman) sitting beside, one with a kid, was discussing how naughty these days kids are and with all pride justifying that her son also falls in that category.
Their discussion went quite long that they forgot their station had arrived (Still, they got down just in time!)
How come?!!
I just wondered!
Even I travel along the same way everyday, but I don’t pick up a conversation with someone I don’t know and especially something personal!
We can’t talk on any other general topics (Avoiding small talk is always safer in public) for we don’t know the other’s likes and dislikes!
So? How do people?!
Or why is that I don’t speak?!
Is it that we’re apprehensive that the conversation might lead us to some kind of trouble?
Or that we’re educated and taught in our childhood “don’t speak with strangers!!”
Ehhh!!!
No idea!
When I was watching over this conversation, I could see some kind of comfort and like in their exchange! How come yaar!!! ??!
I dint ponder much on these thoughts then, but a smile was there on my face then J
So it is nice when we speak with someone new a day!
Or was it just because I was over hearing some talk ;)
Whatever it is, I’m still amused how strangers could speak so comfortably!
Someday “if” I experience something of this sort, hope I get an answer to this!
I’ll give a break now to this “strange” thought now!

Change!!!
How true… I used to hate “the change”… as we have to tune ourselves in many ways and to get accustomed to that new “change” which is really hard!
But now, how ironic, I want a change…
A change from this mundane work and routine!
And I’m working towards it and hope to reach it sometime!
Change could also be a blessing in disguise, for we might end up achieving something more than expected or even dreamt of….
I have hence decided to enjoy and appreciate the little change also that I’m gonna encounter…
With the hope it would be a blessing

An experience!
‘Neeya Naana’ – A debate which is telecasted on Vijay TV.
The auditions were held in our office where we were asked to speak randomly on some topics. I got through the auditions and got a call from the team the next day.
The topic which I had to debate on was “is it correct to have more number of dresses and to be over conscious about it” and I was for the topic.
The shoot was held at Prasad studios at Vadapalani on the 24th of May.
The stage was set …. And the shoot was for over 5 hours!
This is my first ever appearance on TV and my first ever debate in Tamil…
The show went really well and I’m all excited about it!
I did get to speak and I’m happy about my contribution!
I must mention about the MC – Mr. Gopinath….
He carried the show really well and no doubt he is one of the best in his field!
He knows how to extract stuff from people at the same time not hurting anyone’s ego…
Indeed… it was a wonderful experience and I got to know how tough it was to get things look beautiful and easy on screen!

My Companion
It’s really bad to be so… but what more could one ask for during such time?
Yes… A companion… what kinda companion?
Something struck me today about my companion…. Something that keeps me busy, happy, always with me and never argues back!
Yes…Can you believe it…? I just do the listening but still there’s no argument going on.
Music!
Yes three cheers to the ones who have guessed it by now…
I’ve always had this great passion for music… (Don’t ask me… who doesn’t have).
During my travel or when I’m home feeling lonely, not sure what to do, I sit back and just enjoy my playlist!
Yes… my playlist has songs scored by A R Rahman to Yuvan Shankar Raja…
Music keeps us so much alive and is indeed the best companion…
And it can be tamed to your mood… that’s the best part about it...
I can’t even imagine a world without Music :D

Women's day
Women have come a long way to have kept aside a day for herself on the calendar.
We had a few celebrations at our office. Singing competition, fashion show and the winner would be titled too!
Women’s day was celebrated everywhere…
On the radio, television, office, anywhere you turn around, you could find the celebrations!
Women’s day has become eventful.
I guess the celebrations this year has been more than any other year before!
To add on to all this, the women’s bill (33% quota for women) has been passed in the Rajya Sabha...
What more a reason do we need to celebrate women’s day!
It’s not just for the ones who are going to be a part of parliament; it’s for all women who have gone through various phases in life and challenges!
I wish every woman in this world, a happy women’s day and may all be blessed with all success and happiness by thy almighty!

Weekend trip!
Finally, the plan worked and the entire family confirmed the decision of this trip to Karuveli (A small village/town near Kumbakonam). We had arranged for a van and a car to accommodate the strength of 20. Though the trip started off late due to the delay in the arrival of the vehicles, as it progressed we caught up with our spirits and had a wonderful time!
Not sure when was the last time I went out with such huge crowd but it was terrific and the crowd strength made it even better!
We left Chennai on Friday (26th Feb), picked up all our folks and started our voyage. Exchanging hugs and hi s as we started off and it was so refreshing to meet them all.
We reached Karuveli at 3 in the mid-night and got our luggage in the rooms allotted to us. Had a good sleep that night after the tiring journey!
The next day morning, we were set to visit the temple which was the purpose of the trip. It was such a beautiful place with all green and freshness around!
All women of that crowd took their afternoon break once the Darshan was over and we had our talks over coffee. We forgot about all our personal worries and meeting our dear ones after such a long time and spending some valuable time with them was so relishing.
To add icing on the cake, the next day we went to a few other small temples on our way back home and it was such a nice time. We watched some movies during the trip!
On the whole, it was a refreshing trip keeping behind our mundane life and meeting our never met cousins!
Wishing for a few more trips of this kind in the near future!

Man of Records!!
Where do I start from? I don’t deserve writing about this man…. But I’m just tempted to!
What an innings today and how he has proved every time undoubtedly that he is a master blaster!
Sachin... the most deserving and respected cricketer today.
A legend of tomorrow and a master in his own way…
Today his splendid innings of 200*(unbeaten) from 147 balls – the highest ever score in ODIs. He has completed 20 years in cricketing and what more of an experience is required to get such a record!
I do not have any statistical data to talk about this man’s records but I can just see the enthusiasm and the vibration he creates every time he’s out to bat.
Just to quote an example, I could sense the reverberations in our workplace when he reached 195, and all my colleagues ran(literally) to the canteen to catch up LIVE, his record of this 200*(unbeaten).
Even I tried my part to get up there, but my goodness, it was so crowded that I couldn’t even enter the place. I could sense the love and passion these people have for Cricket and for our little master!
The roaring cheers from the crowd make us literally jump out of our seats! Baring all escalations happening at work, folks put aside them to see this master blaster get his record. To check out our man… the first cricketer and an Indian to achieve this unbreakable record, as seemed before!
He has made history and his name would be renowned forever. In order to pay tribute to his achievements, the venue where the match took place today (Captain Roop Singh Stadium,
The greatest thing about this guy is the way he has taken up all this achievement. Graciously he has dedicated this record to all his fans in
What a down to earth person. A perfect show to showcase team spirit was staged today.
May this gentleman live long and achieve the unachievable!
Three cheers to our little master…..
Hip Hip Hurray!!!!!

A delayed new year BLOG!
It is the 2nd month of this Year and I still haven’t been able to give a new blog… My work has kept me really busy; which is a lame reason to have not been able to write for long.
Every year gives us something new in our life-emotionally, professionally or be it anything! 2009 has also given me the same and I would say it was a pretty boring year!
The people I met and the friends I obtained then on have taught me a dozen new things in life. I’m taking forward the good ones and trying to bring a change in my view.
The happy notes of 2009 have been – my sister’s wedding and all the family get together. These are the moments in life which makes life bliss and meaningful…
On the career front, there have been a few changes in my work and I’m still looking forward for a better one and I hope to achieve it this year!
Last year I managed to complete a semester of my exams and I wish to finish 2 this year.
Let this year and the coming years bring in all happiness in everyone’s life.
Though with a delay, I would like to wish everyone a happy new year and may God bless all with the best they had asked for!
Let this year be the most cheerful and enjoyable one!
God bless all…
Happy 2010!
