Another year passed by...

Another year completed!
2011 - A year of happenings....

From Cricket through politics... a lotta things over 2011.

Hurricane Irene in the coasts of US
Mumbai bomb attack
Calcutta floods
Tamil Nadu elections taking a history with clean sweep
2G scam blunder and arrests
Steve Jobs death - RIP
Why this kolaveri happenend...

What not...

Yet another year of happenings around us.
Personally, this year has given me a mixture of emotions.
My family and friends who moved away for work; had come down on vacation.
Catching up and spending good time with them was just wonderful.
People around us make life so beautiful.

As far as work is concerned; its been giving me some good time too.
New friends at work; fun moments and all...
Its now keeping me busy and  happy :)

A new year brings a freshness to our minds; to help us collect; forget and move on.
A new life on the hope...

So wil 2012 be for us.
With this hope; lets welcome 2012....

May all our dreams come true :)

Am Game!

Fun to play after a long time...

The work life we are in currently never allows us to play actually. The games that we are involved are also using the computer.
Motion games was invented which is like real and not real outdoor games which involves real physical run around.

Recently at our work place; sports meet was organised and set of games were planned.
Last week; we had TT, Carroms and Chess.
I played carrom and TT.
I had played Carroms before; so it wasnt new to me.

However; TT was something new for me.
It was a great feeling to have played and learnt a new game.
My team mate taught me the game giving my highlights on some of the important rules.

It was fun!
Indeed always good to learn something new.
Though we dint win; the game was close enough for a tie!
and the oponents won with 2 consecutive points....

Carroms was alos fun; we lost in the second round...
Still playing after years seemed good!

I guess; there is still the enjoyment and long in us to play and we should spare little time in our lives to do what we cherish!
Learning a new thing now and then keeps us happy too!

Play while you can play...

Forced into Fashion!

A few days back, my friend was talking about another friend of hers and she exclaimed... "She doesnt even use a facewash!!! "

I thought to myself, is there any rule that we should use a facewash!!!
My God; this is the real face of fashion today I suppose; that you need to do these things...

Be it attending a party; function.. or what so ever; from the costume, the jewellery you wear, the make up, perfume everything needs to be DONE!!
Thats what surprises me... people do it for the sake of doing it is it?
Fashion should be something within you!

Dressing presentably and comfortable should be good enough for fashion...
Never bother about people around you and the way they dress and follow them; for it might not even suit us!

Even men are becoming consious with the new men's fairness creams and facewashes!! HUH!
Fashion, in today's world seems to have become a mandate. But in yester years this was not the case and women looked more beautiful naturally :)
I saw my grandma's old pic recently and thought "How beautiful"... Yes the real beauty of women is not in the skin but the way she is!

So men and women; be fashionable from within and not just for the sake of it...

Found my misplaced umbrella :)

Yippieeee; found my umbrella today ...

Hehehe... 2 days back while travelling back home in my office bus; I left my umbrella while de-bussing!
I never realised it until the next day morning...

Today, a day after this, I checked the bus driver and yes he had saved it safely for me...
When I claimed it to be mine; he gave it...

I was so happy; not so sure why for an umbrella...
still something which I thought was lost; I got it back

Its always a nice feeling to get back what you've lost. Whatever be it!
It could be a pen, card or why even a friend!!!

Sometimes, happiness is found in these little things than anything big :)
Keep smiling and be happy! :)

Forget like kids!!

Being with kids around is fun, helps you forget your worries and problems. But hold on, not always when the problem is from them!!!
Yes, sometimes kids get cranky and stubborn for things that they want...

My niece, one day was troubling her mom. I scolded her and she started crying immediately. She is a very sensitive kid and would start weeping even if we raise our voice for fun!

I dint expect her to cry but she cried really hard and wasnt ready to compromise in anyway.
Through out the half hour that she took to get over her emotions; she was staring at me, indicating "Im really mad at you. And what you did was wrong :("
Yes, she was with the same sad face. Whenever I looked at her, she would skip away her eyes from mine and later I stopped doing that.

In a while; somehow she got back to normal and without any hesitation she came to me and showered her affection. I was surprised. Coz she just forgot that I had hurt her!!

Man, thats a very short time to forget and be the same to the person who had hurt you just few mins ago. But am sure, the kid remembered the love I had shown on her more... and thats the reason she must have come to be normal.

Amazing... its not just with this kid, Im sure with all.... they just forget the hard time and dont show that adverse on the love to the same person who made them cry...

We grown ups, take those long, for years together sometimes and spoil relationships!!
Am sure there's a kid in all of us and why dont we take this attribute of that kid....

FORGIVE AND FORGET!!
Lets just cherish the good memories and throw away the bad ones..
Once again, memories are beautiful when carried with smiles only...

Walking through Memories

Memories are beautiful when the past was good and the present has some ripples! We enjoy and cherish them more!

Yesterday, while getting back from office; there was some blockage in the way to my home and the bus redirected through another route. I thought "Oh Man, now I have to walk all the way back home"

But just then I realised, the way back home was through the school I studied!!

A sense of happiness flooded through my nerves. Just minutes ago frustation to walk home and now am happy to walk!
Wattan irony....

Yes, I walked through the roads where I did my schooling. I studied there from kindergarden till 12th.... so more than 14 years I had taken that path to school and back home which was pretty close to the school.

As I passed my school; a gush of thoughts;
cycle stand, playground, play pen, classrooms, auditorium, prayer, play shed, canteen and what not!
My child hood friends and the time I spend with them...

The nearby bakery shop where we all used to eat out everyday... from chaat to ice creams....!!
The road that I took back home was through a pubic playground. Swings, sea-saw , slides and other games!

We used to play there while going back home every evening!!
Also, we were a bunch from the same apartments studying in the same school and we used to walk together back home.

Was always wonderful to be with friends around.

During rainy days, along with all the kids living in that apartments we used to walk back home. It was so much fun and memorable. I remember every instance and the different routes we took.

Life has taken a huge turn now and everything seems like way back though its just 8 years since I finished school.
Participating in all competitions in school and enjoyed every little thing.

These are the memories which we carry through out our life!
I dont think any such memory during our work life can replace this....

Childhood is indeed the best phase in our life!
And my school was one of the best!!! :)

Weekend outing!

This sunday, went out with my family to Queensland near poonamalee...
We had a great time there. I must say, after a long time such a family outing was so much fun and cherishing. The good old days together with cousins, friends and other mates around.

Life has taken about a huge turn!
While taking this, I have missed a lot, and I guess thats how all of us feel.
Work life, peers @ work place, commitments - so are these the reasons for this miss!
Dunno, but am sure, we can still catch up with our friends, cousins and now our nieces and nephews!

I've got 3 nephews and a niece... the outing with them, standing along side on their crazy kids ride, taking pictures, ice creams together, chips, juice... ha!! wat not!!
Great time...

These are the little things that make life so beautiful.
Though just a day out, a wonderful day, bringing back the memories of the earlier outing to the same place along with my friends!

Memories are beautiful as long as the instances were ...

What's in store!!

So, ever wondered what's in store for us?!

We always make that statement right, "Lets see whats in store for me".
Its so true...
When we dont get what we want, or we cannot predict things, we say this...

Its more a positive statement I suppose, to wait and see what we get.
Be it my job or day's plan, if things dont go my way, I always say to myself, "Alright, what is this doesnt work for me, lets see what is in store for me". This keeps me going.
There must be something that helps us move on!

And this statement helps me...

So, what's in store for you??? :)

Energy!

It was in a TV show, I saw Karthik (play back singer) performing. Man, what an energy I thought. For years he has been my favourite! And still continues. Not sure, but this time I felt the energy more closer.

Everytime he jumped to the stage for his performance, he literally jumped steps to reach! After a long time, I saw him/someone with so much of energy which pulled us also into the mood.

wondered if I could ever have this much energy... but would be really nice to be so. Being energitic keeps us young and looks like people watching them also feel good.

So y not try being so?! :)

Oops!!

We all have embarrassing moments right!
And yea, this was something that happened recently, i.e yesterday :P

I was traveling back from office in our company bus, and man, I overslept and missed my stop.
However, the bus driver, who recognized me, as I take the same bus everyday, remembered and stopped in my usual stop. He asked one of my colleagues in the bus to wake me up and helped me get down in the right time :)

Yea, indeed it was embarrassing yaar, for sleeping and missing to get down the bus!!
Oops!!
But I guess, I laughed out realising this and apologised to the driver for troubling him!

We all go through such stupid moments right ;)

Clean Sweep

And yea, the TamilNadu election results have come out!
In 4 other states apart from TN, on the same day...

And a clean sweep of votes in TN.
With ADMK winning in 198 districts make it a history of such difference in TN!
There has always been a close win only so far.. but this time... massive

The ruling party DMK, won 36 seats which was a shock!
The election campaign's up and down were the reasons for this...

But this seems to be kinda a cycle here in TN, 2 parties winning in alternate elections. So we can expect the DMK to be back in the next regime? ;)

Still, right now we are happy with the results around and waiting to watch the show what change is gonna happen here in TN with the new party on seat!!

Lets watch the show!

Abstract

Yea, it has been quite a long time since I sat up with my blogging!
Just to have an update on happenings around…

After cricket World Cup, we have the IPL which is the talk of the country now.
It’s so much fun to have a match amongst players who were playing for the same side few days back and now against each other!!!
The spirit and friendly atmosphere here is so healthy. The Mumbai Indians are currently in the lead. The league matches are on, and the top 4 would be decided soon!

So, let’s wait and watch the fun.
IPL a small match, a real test for bowlers who are smashed by the batsmen and for the batsmen, it’s a good trial to get them back to form if otherwise!
Indeed, IPL has turned out to be an investment in which they play big money than cricket!!!

Apart from IPL which started in April, it was the assembly elections!
I have no great political views, but I made use I used my right and franchise to vote!
It’s always a great experience to vote, and the right as a citizen of your country….
The results will be out this week. Not sure why there’s a month time for results which could cause more issues…

Next to the IPL and election drama, the revenge story of US on Al-Qaeda!!
Its everywhere on the news…. It’s a world wide drama and victory now…
How it happened and where…. The story is all over the news.
Yes, terrorism is on top of the charts now!
Be it by government or non – government!
A revenge of this sort was the only way out I suppose.

That’s it on the updates for now…

Cricket Fever continued…

Yes, the WC cricket fever has had its highest temperature possible!
Over 6 billion people have watched the finals, is what the records say!
They were all Indians wanting their nation to win over the Srilankans who were equally equipped and skilled!

The semi final between India and Pakistan was a thriller!
It was, no doubt the best match to have caught up live better than the finals!

And I must say, Dhoni a man of wits and guts… appreciated by all for his courageous statements and accepting his moves!!

Indeed the strong stem for the team!

Srilanakans won over the New Zealand and was an expected entry to the final. A tough competition as they had performed well through out the tournament!

The finals!!!
The toss was funny – yes it started off funny as the match referee dint hear Sangakara calling out heads which was not what Dhoni thought and finally, it was re-tossed!
A roller coaster I must say! …
Still …. Srilankans emerged as winners over the toss and chose to bat!

Though they started off a little weak coz of Zaheer’s wonderful strict bowling, Jayawardane scored a 100 helping them to pose a target of 275 to India!

Our key players Sehwag and Sachin lost their wickets early and India seemed to be in trouble. We INDIANs are used to losing our confidence on the team when these 2 are out!
But now, things have changed and there are more players to give us a confidence with their batting and commitment!
Gambhir and Virat played a good knock for gear up on our score. After Virat’s wicket, surprisingly Dhoni stepped up the order and played a massive innings of 91 to lead India’s victory!!
Gambhir unfortunately couldn’t make his 100 on this special occasion; still his contribution is far beyond records now!
After the victory of WC since 1983, the players rejoiced and shed their emotions.
It was such an ecstatic moment that they can never be penned down replicating the emotions!

Dhoni was adjudged the player of the match followed by Yuvaraj as player of tournament!

Once the cup was handed over to the Indians, it was fantasy!

Sachin’s lap was the best!
And the entire team playing for one man seemed to have been a prividge for the master blaster!
As rightly and wisely said by Virat “Sachin has carried Indian cricket for 21 years and now its time for us to carry him on our shoulder”
What a man he is, deserving the best!

Indeed now, we (INDIA team) are the world champions and they top the charts in all 3 forms of international cricket – Test, ODI and T20!!

What more we need to call ourselves world champions!

And, cricket fever continues with the IPL on the charts....

Cricket fever!

Yes, there’s cricket now all over the world…. Coz of World Cup 2011!
And now it’s reached the top 4 and on April 2nd we’ll know, who the champion is!

World Cup is a test for all nations to prove them to be best cricketing side in the world. The team which wins proves to have played better cricket!

It’s more of a test of your cricketing talents than anything else!
Individually, players get opportunity to showcase their potential and play for their nation!

Now, coming to cricket in India!
Man, when I say CRICKET, I get all goose bumped!

It’s more a than a game here,
It’s a religion!

People follow cricket like crazy!
They eat, sleep and work cricket…. From town to city!
Nation integrity can be felt here!

All we hear is,
INDIA INDIA INDIA!!!!

What more do we need then….
And the win against Aussies in the Quarter finals was history, beating the ruling champion of 3 WCs.

What more of a motivation is required now to face the semi against Pakistan, which is expected to be thriller between 2 unpredictable sides!

The other semi between NZ and Srilanka on Wednesday should be equally interesting for the world, as it’s gonna decide who is moving ahead to get the cup!

Wow, I’m waiting for that and will come back on my blog with the updates then!

Happy Cricketing till then!

Just Move On...!!!

I got this as a forward, and wanted to share the same...

Must read..
A wise man once sat in the audience & cracked a joke. All laughed like crazy.

After a moment he cracked the same joke again and a little less people laughed this time.

He cracked the same joke again & again, When there was no laughter in the crowd,he smiled and said,

"When u can't laugh on the same joke again & again, then why do u keep crying over the same thing over and over again.'Forget the past & move on'…"

social nOtworking

It was few days back, when someone buzzed me on one of the social networking sites.
I was struggling hard to identify the person with the name; yes… his name was very much there in his profile. Still couldn’t recognize.

By this time, the conversation had already begun and I replied as if I knew him well. Still, I was yet to know who that person was!!!

Then I surfed his profile for his photo realizing he was my colleague in the previous organization I was working with

How lame I thought to myself…
A person on my friend list and I don’t know him.

There are many more such friends on my list and I aint in talks with them.
So... This is the case with most of the social networking sites now.
People add them onto their list but don’t even have the time to share a ‘hi’!!

They are used to update the cookery for the day and climate rather!!
So does this solve the purpose!

The other extreme to this; people start the “keep in touch” via these sites and they actually lose the precious moments they spend talking with their near and dear ones face to face.

The emotional touch to the friendship is lost coz of all these is my opinion.

However, for the loners, this is the best way to keep them busy and happy!
Social networking is indeed the thing now and we being social animals cant live without it!

FlashBack2010

Another year has passed by… 2010!!
A new decade is born… time flies off!

Every time a new year is born, we are not used to the change in the year.
As simple that we don’t get used to writing the New Year date 

So how was 2010 for me?
It was one with all happenings just as another year….

Though the happenings were only then and there, I did cross a few milestones!

Career wise, I had a big break.
I have switched over to a new organization with a new work profile which means more challenges and new work style. This is huge organization and I just hope my career is in the right path now!
How much we are resistant to change is so evident even in the change that we have decided to go for…

I’m yet to get accustomed to this new working environment and a thought comes in sometimes as to if I was more comfortable in my previous encounter!
Still, I’m learning to enjoy this change and face the challenges…

Personally, there were a few changes too.
We have moved into another apartment and change of place is always refreshing!
And 2011 has a change in our home!

A lot of my friends have moved into their next phase of marriage life!
It was indeed lovely and a wonderful year on that aspect….
To name a few-- Lavanya, Sneha, Shanthi, Deepthimai, Vijay – Vaishnavi.
The weddings were grand and of course happy 

Health wise – I had a lot of changes!
From wisdom tooth removal to my clip! The surgical process was a huge achievement and the success story of this seemed… indeed finally!!!

Having set some goals for 2010, I guess I achieved most of it… 
I’m happy with the way 2010 progressed.

There were other ups and downs in 2010, be with family or friends, but they are always lessons to be learnt and 2010 in that way has taught me a lot!!

Now its time to move on with the New Year with new goals and new challenges!
May this year also be wonderful as ever!

Happy New Year! Happy 2011!!!!
