Yes, the WC cricket fever has had its highest temperature possible!
Over 6 billion people have watched the finals, is what the records say!
They were all Indians wanting their nation to win over the Srilankans who were equally equipped and skilled!
The semi final between India and Pakistan was a thriller!
It was, no doubt the best match to have caught up live better than the finals!
And I must say, Dhoni a man of wits and guts… appreciated by all for his courageous statements and accepting his moves!!
Indeed the strong stem for the team!
Srilanakans won over the New Zealand and was an expected entry to the final. A tough competition as they had performed well through out the tournament!
The finals!!!
The toss was funny – yes it started off funny as the match referee dint hear Sangakara calling out heads which was not what Dhoni thought and finally, it was re-tossed!
A roller coaster I must say! …
Still …. Srilankans emerged as winners over the toss and chose to bat!
Though they started off a little weak coz of Zaheer’s wonderful strict bowling, Jayawardane scored a 100 helping them to pose a target of 275 to India!
Our key players Sehwag and Sachin lost their wickets early and India seemed to be in trouble. We INDIANs are used to losing our confidence on the team when these 2 are out!
But now, things have changed and there are more players to give us a confidence with their batting and commitment!
Gambhir and Virat played a good knock for gear up on our score. After Virat’s wicket, surprisingly Dhoni stepped up the order and played a massive innings of 91 to lead India’s victory!!
Gambhir unfortunately couldn’t make his 100 on this special occasion; still his contribution is far beyond records now!
After the victory of WC since 1983, the players rejoiced and shed their emotions.
It was such an ecstatic moment that they can never be penned down replicating the emotions!
Dhoni was adjudged the player of the match followed by Yuvaraj as player of tournament!
Once the cup was handed over to the Indians, it was fantasy!
Sachin’s lap was the best!
And the entire team playing for one man seemed to have been a prividge for the master blaster!
As rightly and wisely said by Virat “Sachin has carried Indian cricket for 21 years and now its time for us to carry him on our shoulder”
What a man he is, deserving the best!
Indeed now, we (INDIA team) are the world champions and they top the charts in all 3 forms of international cricket – Test, ODI and T20!!
What more we need to call ourselves world champions!
And, cricket fever continues with the IPL on the charts....

It’s more of a test of your cricketing talents than anything else!
Individually, players get opportunity to showcase their potential and play for their nation!
Now, coming to cricket in India!
Man, when I say CRICKET, I get all goose bumped!
It’s more a than a game here,
It’s a religion!
People follow cricket like crazy!
They eat, sleep and work cricket…. From town to city!
Nation integrity can be felt here!
All we hear is,

And the win against Aussies in the Quarter finals was history, beating the ruling champion of 3 WCs.
What more of a motivation is required now to face the semi against Pakistan, which is expected to be thriller between 2 unpredictable sides!
The other semi between NZ and Srilanka on Wednesday should be equally interesting for the world, as it’s gonna decide who is moving ahead to get the cup!
Wow, I’m waiting for that and will come back on my blog with the updates then!
Happy Cricketing till then!

Just Move On...!!!
I got this as a forward, and wanted to share the same...
Must read..
A wise man once sat in the audience & cracked a joke. All laughed like crazy.
After a moment he cracked the same joke again and a little less people laughed this time.
He cracked the same joke again & again, When there was no laughter in the crowd,he smiled and said,
"When u can't laugh on the same joke again & again, then why do u keep crying over the same thing over and over again.'Forget the past & move on'…"

social nOtworking
It was few days back, when someone buzzed me on one of the social networking sites.
I was struggling hard to identify the person with the name; yes… his name was very much there in his profile. Still couldn’t recognize.
By this time, the conversation had already begun and I replied as if I knew him well. Still, I was yet to know who that person was!!!
Then I surfed his profile for his photo realizing he was my colleague in the previous organization I was working with
How lame I thought to myself…
A person on my friend list and I don’t know him.
There are many more such friends on my list and I aint in talks with them.
So... This is the case with most of the social networking sites now.
People add them onto their list but don’t even have the time to share a ‘hi’!!
They are used to update the cookery for the day and climate rather!!
So does this solve the purpose!
The other extreme to this; people start the “keep in touch” via these sites and they actually lose the precious moments they spend talking with their near and dear ones face to face.
The emotional touch to the friendship is lost coz of all these is my opinion.
However, for the loners, this is the best way to keep them busy and happy!
Social networking is indeed the thing now and we being social animals cant live without it!

FlashBack2010
Another year has passed by… 2010!!
A new decade is born… time flies off!
Every time a new year is born, we are not used to the change in the year.
As simple that we don’t get used to writing the New Year date
So how was 2010 for me?
It was one with all happenings just as another year….
Though the happenings were only then and there, I did cross a few milestones!
Career wise, I had a big break.
I have switched over to a new organization with a new work profile which means more challenges and new work style. This is huge organization and I just hope my career is in the right path now!
How much we are resistant to change is so evident even in the change that we have decided to go for…
I’m yet to get accustomed to this new working environment and a thought comes in sometimes as to if I was more comfortable in my previous encounter!
Still, I’m learning to enjoy this change and face the challenges…
Personally, there were a few changes too.
We have moved into another apartment and change of place is always refreshing!
And 2011 has a change in our home!
A lot of my friends have moved into their next phase of marriage life!
It was indeed lovely and a wonderful year on that aspect….
To name a few-- Lavanya, Sneha, Shanthi, Deepthimai, Vijay – Vaishnavi.
The weddings were grand and of course happy
Health wise – I had a lot of changes!
From wisdom tooth removal to my clip! The surgical process was a huge achievement and the success story of this seemed… indeed finally!!!
Having set some goals for 2010, I guess I achieved most of it…
I’m happy with the way 2010 progressed.
There were other ups and downs in 2010, be with family or friends, but they are always lessons to be learnt and 2010 in that way has taught me a lot!!
Now its time to move on with the New Year with new goals and new challenges!
May this year also be wonderful as ever!
Happy New Year! Happy 2011!!!!

Memories
OK.. now I was just surfing to get some definitions of it(memory) before I get started with what I want to convey. Some of them are:
1)The mental faculty of retaining and recalling past experience
2)The act or an instance of remembering; recollection
3)All that a person can remember / Something remembered
4)On computer terms -- a) A unit of a computer that preserves data for retrieval
b) Capacity for storing information
So be it for the humans or the computer, its something to do with the past. That is, some information which is already known or completed.
We always call it memories only when its good. Phrases used “recall the wonderful memories”, “memories to be cherished” . However, memories are not just about the good ones.
It includes all our past....
So the good and bad in it is decided by you!
The bad ones can be called as an experience. A lesson!
We all face tough times in our life, and will want to forget them!
I.e. the memories which we do not want to carry along with us.
How wonderful it would be if we could “shift+delete” them... and get it out of the trash only!
Imagine a human system where, when memory gets out of control or overloaded, we can delete them and refresh it to continue the normal process. Wow!
Sounds great and easy!
So do we need a separate system to get this done... ?
Can't we just do this our self with what we have... either taught or imbibed!
Yes there's a saying – Forgive and Forget!
Its such a simple thing which can easily manage our memory as far this thought is concerned.
To erase our “bad memories”, all we need to go is forgive the person/reason for it and to forget !
Forgetting is not hard at all... it's an excuse we always give...
when we don't call our near and dear ones, when we forget their birthday, when we miss to call back or meet someone waiting for us, when we forget to buy the grocery mommy asked us to
and the list goes on....
Use the same here and I'm sure it would help us a lot!
There's a movie on the same lines, on erasing memory...
wow it seemed to the character undergoing that, in the movie, but when he wanted to prove his love, all he wanted was just the memory of the love he had for her!
Wonderful isn't it!!!
That's the beauty of memory... so just relish and cherish your memories...
For only you can feel it ...

Special people
Yesterday, I met this person at the cafeteria who has inspired me to write this.
Let me describe him first which would give an idea as to why I chose this title!
A man who must be in his 30s, height of a dwarf with some ailments. He wasn't able to stand straight. Weak legs and damaged back. My description could be a little hard, but that's how he was.
My God, the first impression I got on seeing him, what confidence and perseverance he must be having. Working in an IT field, a job which is not just highly paid but also the most wanted. The crowd here is massive and he dint really care about it. Walked in with a pride and helped himself get onto the chair. I was surprised!
You don't even have to interact with achievers to gain motivation, on just seeing such “special people” with special qualities, you can feel there's a lot more in our life to achieve.
The positive energy that they bring in is more. Their simple presence helps us!
Its not that they should be some kind of a statue to give their presence but a motivation in disguise!
We must realize how blessed we are to have everything fine(not just physically) but still we complain on our small failures and rejections.
I had visited this hospital once where people had come to get some certificate from the doctor on their ailment. I can still feel them in my eyes, their difficultly only to commute. Still determined to get their life going!
Now, all this shows how blessed we are. And lets stop complaining on the little things around and learn from the people around us!
Live and let live!
