Weekend trip!

Finally, the plan worked and the entire family confirmed the decision of this trip to Karuveli (A small village/town near Kumbakonam). We had arranged for a van and a car to accommodate the strength of 20. Though the trip started off late due to the delay in the arrival of the vehicles, as it progressed we caught up with our spirits and had a wonderful time!

Not sure when was the last time I went out with such huge crowd but it was terrific and the crowd strength made it even better!

We left Chennai on Friday (26th Feb), picked up all our folks and started our voyage. Exchanging hugs and hi s as we started off and it was so refreshing to meet them all.

We reached Karuveli at 3 in the mid-night and got our luggage in the rooms allotted to us. Had a good sleep that night after the tiring journey!

The next day morning, we were set to visit the temple which was the purpose of the trip. It was such a beautiful place with all green and freshness around!

All women of that crowd took their afternoon break once the Darshan was over and we had our talks over coffee. We forgot about all our personal worries and meeting our dear ones after such a long time and spending some valuable time with them was so relishing.

To add icing on the cake, the next day we went to a few other small temples on our way back home and it was such a nice time. We watched some movies during the trip!

On the whole, it was a refreshing trip keeping behind our mundane life and meeting our never met cousins!

Wishing for a few more trips of this kind in the near future!

Man of Records!!

Where do I start from? I don’t deserve writing about this man…. But I’m just tempted to!

What an innings today and how he has proved every time undoubtedly that he is a master blaster!

Sachin... the most deserving and respected cricketer today.

A legend of tomorrow and a master in his own way…

Today his splendid innings of 200*(unbeaten) from 147 balls – the highest ever score in ODIs. He has completed 20 years in cricketing and what more of an experience is required to get such a record!

I do not have any statistical data to talk about this man’s records but I can just see the enthusiasm and the vibration he creates every time he’s out to bat.

Just to quote an example, I could sense the reverberations in our workplace when he reached 195, and all my colleagues ran(literally) to the canteen to catch up LIVE, his record of this 200*(unbeaten).

Even I tried my part to get up there, but my goodness, it was so crowded that I couldn’t even enter the place. I could sense the love and passion these people have for Cricket and for our little master!

The roaring cheers from the crowd make us literally jump out of our seats! Baring all escalations happening at work, folks put aside them to see this master blaster get his record. To check out our man… the first cricketer and an Indian to achieve this unbreakable record, as seemed before!

He has made history and his name would be renowned forever. In order to pay tribute to his achievements, the venue where the match took place today (Captain Roop Singh Stadium, Gwalior) has declared to construct a pavilion in his name!!

The greatest thing about this guy is the way he has taken up all this achievement. Graciously he has dedicated this record to all his fans in India.

What a down to earth person. A perfect show to showcase team spirit was staged today.

May this gentleman live long and achieve the unachievable!

Three cheers to our little master…..

Hip Hip Hurray!!!!!

A delayed new year BLOG!

It is the 2nd month of this Year and I still haven’t been able to give a new blog… My work has kept me really busy; which is a lame reason to have not been able to write for long.

Every year gives us something new in our life-emotionally, professionally or be it anything! 2009 has also given me the same and I would say it was a pretty boring year!

The people I met and the friends I obtained then on have taught me a dozen new things in life. I’m taking forward the good ones and trying to bring a change in my view.

The happy notes of 2009 have been – my sister’s wedding and all the family get together. These are the moments in life which makes life bliss and meaningful…

On the career front, there have been a few changes in my work and I’m still looking forward for a better one and I hope to achieve it this year!

Last year I managed to complete a semester of my exams and I wish to finish 2 this year.

Let this year and the coming years bring in all happiness in everyone’s life.

Though with a delay, I would like to wish everyone a happy new year and may God bless all with the best they had asked for!

Let this year be the most cheerful and enjoyable one!

God bless all…

Happy 2010!

After a long time...

I haven’t been able to post on this blog for a pretty long time… I wouldn’t say that “something” has kept me busy from writing, its just I did not get the right time and topic to write on.
But now I have decided to sit up and write on my encounters in the last few weeks…
I would say months... as its months since I wrote!

In the 1st week of June, along with my family, I had gone to kodaikanal. Wow it was such a nice time…
It completely relished me with all my expectations which I had written in my “Summer Holidays”. It made my summer hols complete!!
Its was a 2 day trip at kodai and it was a different one…
I had already visited the place before but this one made it different from the kind of scenic places I got to see…

Greenery got its meaning from kodai may be... as the lush green and thick forests along the path to kodai made the travel so pleasant!

The climate was wonderful and it was no doubt the best place to spend time together with your loved ones ;)
I aint so interested in flowers and plants, but kodai brought out that interest in me and proving that all girls like flowers. Such different breeds and styles of flowers. One couldn’t resist in plucking them!

The vegetables are so fresh... And kodai is known for its carrots!
Guess what!! … I got a chance to get onto the field and pluck some carrots along with the fieldsmen there…
It was such a gr8 experience!
We almost took back home few kgs of carrot... that too free of cost!
The people there were so humble and welcoming!

We also visited a few temples there... and had a good darshan!

Was in no mood to get back to Chennai but this trip to kodai made me and my cuz decide, someday we should get a house there and go there for every vacation to breathe the fresh air and relax! J

Back to Chennai as work called us… Here, in the last few weeks I had been a little preoccupied with work...
I got an opportunity to work at the vendor’s premises and was there for almost a month.
It was a good learning.

Now I’m back to my office and traveling by train is again my routine now!
My sis and her kids are home for vacation and I’m having the time of my life with my niece especially!
She’s such a sweet adorable kid, with a smiling face J
Everyday when I’m back from work, I would get such a warm welcome with her big hug (as she calls it).

Her brother who is 7 years old now is such a chatter box… he’s always up with something! A smart kid too!
I get busy with them… and of course my sis and I get on business with our talks about all her new jewelry and stuff…

Its all back to routine now as my cuz and her kids are back in her in-laws place... I would be bored without them... no doubt!
However, I would get some more time to spend on writing and reading!

And yeah!!… After this break… this blog is really refreshing!

My World

Where am I heading in this fast paced world? My life seems to be a big question!
There are times when I think, why are we born? What’s the purpose of our existence in this world…? How much ever I ponder over this I never get to a solution and I end up being in square one… My life seems to be a big question!

Alright, starting from the things around me…
I have got loads of friends and a huge family… I spend all my time with them and they are my asset. As we know, there are 3 kinds of people whom we come across…
One, for a reason.
Two, seasonal
And three for a lifetime….
Ok great… I have met such people in my life. Does that complete the purpose of my life?
But there’s no peace... Neither at home nor with friends. There are disputes everywhere
Alright… these are also part of life, that’s what people say and you learn from them… for what? What’s the reason to learn when you’re going to get back to the same kind of people and to still ponder … what’s the meaning to my life? But one thing is for sure, if we don’t have people around us, then life seems meaningless…
Hence one solution I get here is:
People around me make “My World”

Next…my career.
I have completed my graduation. The fighting spirit in this competent world has reduced in me for I don’t understand the purpose of it. Competition must be there but it should be a healthy one. But today we find people are on a stampede in the name of competition.
Alright… I achieve something even in that competition… so what’s next?
I really don’t know… clueless…
Building your career??? Yes!
I have 2 options... Either to pursue my higher education or to work!
Either of the 2 is going to end in working for income in the long run….
Some categorize people that s/he has done/doing her/his masters… so they’re efficient and successful… why??? Aren’t the rest successful?
Then comes income along with this… who earns more? Who saves more? Who doesn’t waste money? Huh!!
What are we earning for then?
Just to dine with the 1st “My World” or to go for a movie with them and to spend time with “My World” is wrong, then career becomes important and it should be “My World” now!

Next is my asset.
In accordance with my latest “My World”, as I said... Income becomes part of career… your assets decide your status which in turn decides if your successful or not!
A man/woman who owns a house and has enough bank balance is said to be successful considering his/her capability and smartness.
Alright, the cost of living is high in this world now and the one who is earning more can invest more. So what about the rest?
I would say that a person, who is able to manage his income be it meager or huge, is successful!
So this is “My World” now to be successful with the asset I have through the career which was “My World” before….

Next is my new family
Yes, I mean about marriage and life after that. Be it a man/woman he/she changes his/her lifestyle after marriage. That’s what the laws of marriage (not literally the Law) seem to be! A woman gets new relationship terms such as husband, in-laws etc… and similarly a man gets terms such as wife, in-laws etc.
Leaving aside the cultural differences across the world, and in general, a man and his wife starts building their “My world” with their new home and new relations where the kid comes in.
Yes now my kid/s would be “My world”. I would create his/her new world of friends, family, career, income, assets and finally her/his new family and the cycle repeats!

So is this all life?
All of us are here to achieve this, then why on earth do we have riots, terrorism or any such violence! There should be a winning edge but it should be an edge by not pushing the competitors down….

When, what you seek in life is happiness, why people have to show other facets such as jealousy, ego, dominance, hatred etc….
Rather love and affection can help everyone achieve their goals….
Everyone is born to die someday. Of course no one waits for it… but why don’t we believe that just like you, even your counter part has only life…
Live and let live…. Is what is required in this world now. We are not going to leave behind anything except the fact that how good a human you were for your future generation!
“My World” cannot be redefined but in totality, it includes my family, family, career and achievements. But when there’s nothing to lose, why sit and brood about it…

I would like “My World” to be happy without any mishaps for there’s just one life!

LIVE AND LET LIVE!!

TASTE OF FAILURE

How would we feel if we succeed in every walk of our life? Any activity we take up be it on our career front or personal life…. If we’re successful and if that success gets recognized, we’re absolutely happy and overwhelmed.

On such a series of success story from your end, there’s a sudden failure or hit or recession in your life, would you be able to accept it? Would you have the courage to face this challenge? Would you be able to digest the fact that you have failed for the first time!!!!!
Never…!!
This is because, not having seen a failure before and to encounter such a horror for the first time, you can never handle it…

Success can be enjoyed with happiness but it can be celebrated when you have faced so many hurdles and failures before achieving it!
This is so true…
No all successful women/men are happy… that’s what they say.
But those who have crossed miles before reaching “there” would know the value of this success…

How is it that they can handle that success with grace?
That’s because of the failures they faced… we should face failures in order to understand and realize what success is…

Parents and grandparents say about a one year kid who just started walking “Let him fall down and get hurt, then only he’ll become strong and would know how to walk properly”
This holds good for all ages… only when we fall at some point and get the taste of failure, we can become strong and achieve something bigger!

Failure causes an urge to win… the efforts and commitment to achieve it should increase exponentially.

When there’s a stroke of failure in anything we take up, we tend to say “It’s the worst period of my life and I’m not able to succeed in anything even though I have taken the best efforts I can”
Is it true? Can your stars and sentiments influence your success rate?
I’m not aware of that but this is the only way to console oneself for his/her failure.
Sometimes this might be misleading and people might not fight back their failure. That shouldn’t be the case though!!

There are people who face such failure with vigour for they have the taste of failure and the confidence and experience to get over that.

Thus every individual should fail atleast once so that they never forget the “taste of failure” and can strive harder towards success!

The power of Women

Women!!!
Men exclaim when they say or hear WOMEN….

Some say… Women????
She’s indeed still a question to many including her.

Women are very special. I’m not saying this just because I’m one, but the happenings around me has changed my opinion about Women.
I used to think why am I born as a girl?! For if I was a guy, I could get complete freedom for going out anywhere I want and at anytime (most important)… I need not get permission from my parents also for that.
But look at the pathetic condition of girls… they have to get permission to even go to a beauty clinic L [this is ofcourse the most essential element in a women’s life J ]

This is not only when they are single, but even after marriage this situation continues except the change that the one to permit her is her in-laws and husband (twice the trouble now!!)

Women dream a lot… this is the complain from men…
Yes so true… women are not so practical. They unnecessarily get emotional at times and they over react to such situations.
But the truth is, women let out her feelings but men don’t (just for a comparison).

But in the end, women are the ones who shoulder her husband/other men of her family when they are in deep trouble…
Contrary to what it is, men turn out to be emotionally weaker!!!

In a day, the number of problems she faces is numerous and when she pours it out to someone she feels a lot more relieved and hence she is termed emotionally weak!
I’ve read in books which biological proves and states that women can think 100s of things at a time. For eg, when she’s at work, she doesn’t just do her task but also behind in her mind there number of thoughts kindling her from the fight she would have had with her husband previous night, her worry if her kid has reached school and if he/she took his lunch, is the gas turned off, if she could manage the month’s expenses within budget, if her mother was fine and worried that she wasn’t able to meet her for weeks being in the same town etc etc.

Not just married women have these, the unmarried also have so many thoughts… be it from their worry about their future or her parents or her friends and the problems with them or her boss!!!!!

It’s simple… she great at multi tasking and she manages them all with ease!

Women face so many other hurdles in her life from harassment to health problems.
Whatever role given to her she takes it up and does it with such simplicity and she never regrets for what she has got.

As a mother, as a wife, as a daughter, as an associate, as a manager, as a daughter-in-law, as a sister and ofcourse as a friend, she is what she is today!!

Why she can be a worthy entrepreneur too!!

She satisfies everyone around her and sacrifices even her small dreams for them. Maybe not all women are career oriented but the few who are, never fail in their personal life too. Women know to balance them.

There are exceptions in everything but the number of such “exceptional women” is just countable. There are innumerous who have sacrificed their life for the society. They can do wonders!

I don’t have to quote names of such great women for the world knows about them and looks high upon such down to earth ladies.

Today we cannot find a dimension or field in which women haven’t explored. We participate in every sector of work and the life style they lead is commendable!!

Women have no bounds in this world now except the insecurity caused by the same race – humans!

The fellow human beings need to respect an individual be it a male or female….
There can never be another person who can replace a woman in our family or life.

As the saying goes… “A daughter is a daughter for life, a son, a son till he gets his wife!”
A woman she’s herself till her death and all the criticisms that she gets will never weaken her….

Thus today, I’m proud to call myself a woman and to be a part of this highly respected community.

Three cheers to all the ladies in this world.
Three cheers to all the men who have realized this.Three cheers to all the mothers in this world.Three cheers to me for having been able to experience this….

This is the power of women…
